Quad Infotech is a pure software design and development company based in Toronto, Canada with a prime focus on “Industry 4.0”, “Industrial Digitalization” and “Operator Mobility”.Quad Infotech's products are designed to control, manage, monitor, and analyze industrial processes. Quad Infotech is the top provider of Industrial Intelligence, MES, and Energy Management software in the North American steel industry.
THE BACKGROUND
Steel is an endlessly recyclable material. Each year, Gerdau transforms more than 14 million tons of recycled scrap into new steel products. Most of the scrap comes from discarded materials. Material recycled from automotive, packaging, and appliance production processes all go into the creation of new steel products.
THE CHALLENGE
Gerdau Midlothian Steel Mill and Quad Infotech agreed to create software to boost the recycling process of crashed cars. Quad Infotech is responsible to design and develop the software and train the operators on the field. We are aiming to make the recycling process faster and easier for the operators.
PROJECT SUMMARY
Scrap Scale House Software will be designed and developed based on the user's needs. This software will be used on a tablet and will be developed in light and dark modes. Our software will provide the following services:
- Operators' performance
- Inspecting Trucks
- Detecting Impurities in the truck
- Faster response to trucks with radioactive materials
- Taking notes and photos
- Controlling the traffic in the facility
